Description

This wine hails from the Castillon Côtes De Bordeaux region which borders Saint-Émilion and has similar tasting wines which are less expensive then its neighbour. 

The special Cuvees in The Wine Buff Selection range, are made in honour of people who helped us in our journey since we opened our first shop in Limerick back in 2000.

The Cuvee “Paddy Jack” is made in honour of Paddy’s brother Jack who was a fond beer drinker, but never liked the vino. Paddy introduced him to the wine of Jean Francois Meynard and he loved the “La Bouree” his one and only favourite wine, this special blend in made by Paddy and Jean Francois in his honour, hence the name “Paddy Jack”, which also is the name of Paddy’s son.

The “La Bouree” was one of the first wines we stocked in 2000.

Another great red from the energetic Francois Meynard. Plenty of ripe red and blueberry fruit mixed with cedar notes. Rich flavours of red cherry and red currant with a smooth finish from the oak and a lingering long finish.
