Description
Chateau Rocher Gardat has been in the family since 1880. The vineyards are located in an area known as Gardatรย and lie above quarries that are over 300 years old, many of the quarried stones wereรย used in the construction of the wine cellars in the neighbouring chateaux. Hence the name Rocher which translates as rock.
Tasting Notes: A toasty oak nose with plums, blackberry and mild spices. The wine is medium bodied, fresh and fruity with a silky texture that follows through to the finish, with a slight sour cherry tart finish. The wine will develop well over the next few years.
